It has been abt a month since I last posted..i know i should have kept this space updated while i was in korea, but...i have tons of excuses to explain why i didnt, so i shall not list them :)

i have been back for abt a month alr and (very reluctantly) need to get on with school since the new semester has started. I am experiencing some withdrawal symptoms from my trip but not as bad as the rest, haha. Many other ppl missed myeong dong (alot), the food, even the super-duper good green tea latte..etc..well, for me i missed the food a lot!!! it sounds funny even to myself because back when i was in korea, i really misseddd singapore food...cuz.., korean food is simply too healthy, hahaha! i missed the fattening laksa gravy, the oily chicken/char siew rice, i miss my mum's dishes...curry.........u name it! all the unhealthy food, haha! but now...i missed the healthy lifestyle that i had over there...all the long walks that i have to do when i transfer between mrt lines, kimchi every single meal, nice spicy and sour stews that i can have for dinner....ahhh...miss miss... i will definitely go to korea again, or perhaps make those trips as often as travelling to bangkok..hmm, shall see abt that :D

I will perhaps blog more abt where are the good places to go in korea next time, i will definitely tryyy to make more effort to keep this space alive :)

Just a short post before i board the plane :)

Currently at changi airport Terminal 2 and making use of the remaining time that we have to waste before boarding :D

On a more serious note, i have mixed feelings towards this trip.

I am excited over the fact that i am on a stress-free summer term to clear my mods and i get to shop and explore korea. but...at the same time, the conversation that i had on tues with someone may be (i pray very hard not to be so) the last one with him...this thought truly brings a heavy feeling and burden to my heart as i depart from singapore.

Well, at least I had that conversation, at least i can say that i left without regrets..

Seoul, here i come :)

Double joy!!!

Yesterday, i had bipolar disorder symptoms...haha! just being descriptive of my mood swings :)

At the beginning of the day, I had mixed feelings about my exam results. I am not too confident of doing well and neither am i very certain of having my gpa plunging down. The thought of a drop in my gpa really makes me very fearful and stressed out all this while..i am reminded of my first drop in my gpa. The digit '3' in front is enough to make me cry for the whole afternoon last year.. i really don't want that episode to happen again. I guess my mixed feelings is partly because i, literally, crammed before each paper..something that i have never done before for exam preparation. This makes me doubtful of how well i can remember and the quality of my answers as compared to others that have studied much more thoroughly then me..

But, at the end of the day, I can be re-assured by God's grace and mercy.

For it is written in the scriptures in Romans 8:28,

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. "

I did have food poisoning which hindered me in the process of preparing for exams
I did have less time to prepare for my core subjects due lack of time
I did have less sleep each passing day during the examination period

Still, all these things work together for good and I am extremely grateful at midnight on 8 June.

That aside, my loafers from missypixie arrived yesterday! another thing to be joyful!!! :):):)
I was on 'Stealth mode' when i missioned to grab the shoes from the mail box.
Why? cos, my mum don't knows about it. and, she will scold me since i am going to korea..."为什么还买.......etc.......... " will come...haha

So,the plan was,

1) go down and grab the shoes when mum is cooking in the kitchen
(that way she will not hear the opening and closing of the door)
2) come back quickly and close the door softly
3) dash into my room and lock the door
4) try out the shoes with mei mei
5) hide the shoes and when i come back from korea, i shall say i bought them in korea-- FAIL

I cannot say 'i bought from korea' since mei mei also bought the loafers and will want to wear them while i am away..
Lol, we were discussing in the room about step 5 and mei mei was like

mei mei - 'i think mummy open the kitchen door'

me - 'serious?' (throw loafers under my table and use my chair to hide them from sight)

mei mei - you in stealth mode ar, hahahahahaha!

end up we decided to tell mum, paper cannot wrap the fire..haha
and yes, the nagging did came...haha
I really love the loafers (even though i had one alr :P ) it is sooo comfortable, i really dont want to take them off :) haha

Heyy!

well, i have been very confined to the house lately, just dont feel like going out..why?

1) I will not be tempted to buy more things!
2) I can chiong finish watching Dong Yi ( very nice! :) )
3) Lazy to go out of the house, haha,

go out = choose outfit + make up + choose bag + spend money + remove make-up
(zzz...算了吧, haha)

yup, so, stay at home is the best :)

hee, laze ard and read the Bible and revise my korean (progress to date=stagnant) hahaha!

but, i did like the usual packing of the room and i am my mum's telephone operator, picking up the phone that rings all day and pass it to her...and some simple 'scrapbook'ed note for mei mei to encourage her as she goes thru common tests :) jia you mei mei! and i made a camera ang pow (?) for a friend in church. haha, cos i did not go for his bday party due to exam preparations and i feel very bad :( haha, at least my 'present' should reach him. And his present is my contributions to his DLSR fund!

i had fun doing this! feels like i am doing something for art and craft class back in primary school! I went to dig out our old colour pencil to colour it :)

and...time really flies, please fly faster! i used the 'days left' app on my android desire and i have 2 count downs, one that is heartening and another that is..disheartening..

Met up with joee just now and we made our way to their outlet at raffles xchange. Initially, we were attracted by the U-weekly readers offer, there is a gift pack with 3 items at $40 only!!! i thought it will be a good buy, just that it includes an item known as berry berry wrinkle sleeping pack. I dont think i will be needing that now...well, anyway, when we were there, the sales person told us the promotion was only applicable to their outlets at bugis and marina square.., well, it seems fated that we will not be getting the gift pack and we were pretty put off by the wrinking sleep mask too..haha, but i still got this super cuteee product! I have read good reviews abt it, cant wait to try it out tmr!!! :D

finally changed my blogskin! it was a chore but i like the fact that it is simple and doesnt have a 'welcome' page..nicee!

hmm, oh, i made doughnuts on sunday! it is pretty easy but it taste the best when it is freshly made, it turns a bit hard when it cools down.. some pics to share!

Hi!

thought of just having a short post today :)

Well, i have finally reunited with my korean notes from my friend. I think i lent her in Year 1 sem 2, and we keep dragging abt when we can really meet for her to return the notes to me. Finally made the move to discuss abt meet up, haha. why??? cos i am going korea for summer studies!!! will be flying on June 22!! excited!!! :D

the thing is i completely cannot do korean language at all!! :( japanese was easy but not korean!! I was on the train and flipping the notes...the things inside looks foreign to me! oh no...i seriously need to re-learn it over again. I think knowing the language is important. Reading various comments from flowerpod, the people there dont really comprehend english, even simple english may be hard to get your point across..so i really need to pick up the lang again!!! Started today, but I only sustained for half an hour :P

Just finished masking while typing this post! I loveeee doing mask :) My skin was in the worse condition ever after exams and right after it ended, i got onto the routine to put on a facial mask everyday. My skin condition really improved a lot! shall blog more abt it next time :)

Alright, i have to turn in early..will have to accompany mei mei in the morning tmr :)

Hiiiiiee!

it has been a while since i last blogged..well, the week went past really fast! i did not blog is partly because i dont have pictures to show..haha, and nothing much to say also..lol

soo, this is the last day of the week, i have lots to say! :D

I have a new found love, photobucket!!! It really helps me to upload photos sooo much faster! One reason why i hardly blog was because i really hate to use blogger to upload photos! It takes a million years...so this just completely put me off to blog..haha, but all problems can be solved with...........PHOTOBUCKET! wahahaha, yupp, i am using it right now! love love love

ok..i watched pirates of the carribean with joee on monday?? or was it tues?? aiya...age is catching up on me, cant rmb, haha..but i think that it is ok...only...not fantastic..i seriously thought the series ended with the third movie...somehow i find it kind of draggy to continue on..hmm, usually when u continue a series, u have something that u have yet to resolve or the story has not ended.. Like..harry potter, voldemort did not die until the last book, so the series will end with the 7th movie..but of course, if they have a movie on HP but depicting what happened before harry potter time...like their parents..etc, then it will be nice :) anyway..the story kind of ended..right?? except the fact that he lost his ship again...but, bottom line is..i find it not as nice..yup, only one photo! my outfit for the day..

we had the usual chat and after-dinner starbucks drink to catch up:) i am soo full at the end of the day...i think i have to say byes to my non-flabby arms and awesome weight after exams :(

Then...oh! i had facial on wednesday, shiokness is enough to describe my experience, hee, and i went to get some vouchers for the april/may babies in church! They invited me to their party and i did not turn up..i feel really bad if i dont give them my presents :( so..that day, i had a long walk...my legs are really starting to ache..

Thursay..i decided to stay at home just in case my ex-boss from yoguru ask me to help her out with shifts, she did actually, but before i replied her, she had found her PT girl to replace alr, haha, glad all is well for yoguru! soo, had some time to pack my room and the pile of tb+ notes stacked under my table..hiaz...wonder how will my results turn out...this is the very first time i "crammed" for my exams...i really really put in the best i could to get a good grade..really hope everything will turn out ok... and i decided to bake! haha, it has been some time since i last baked, and it seems that i have been baking cheesecake for a pretty long time..haha, it all started with mum's comment that there is no breakfast left, she wanted to bake something until i decided it is time for her to take a break and let me (the bum in the family) to bake :D made cupcakes!!

hee, took me abt 30 mins to finish everything,they are marble cupcakes! it wasnt a recipe from the cookbook, just that i used the same method that we always used to do the swirls for marble cake and apply it to this batch of cupcakes! they were really good! my baking skills are not yet rusty, yay! :D

Friday, was a tiring day...

I went out early in the morning with joee to catch kungfu panda 2!!! it was soooo nice!!! better than pirates in terms of the funny parts of the movie :) hahahaha, couldnt stop laughing!! he is soooo cuteeee, xiao po! we catched the first slot of the day and we feel really out of place...the theatre is full of younger, definitely primary school, kids...shall think twice abt the movie timing when i had to catch a cartoon movie in future.. then, we went to 313. Ahhhh, there are sooo many nice clothes ard...but!!! i cannot buy them all!!!! :(:( i need to consider the fact that i am going korea and i need to save up my money....end up i couldnt resist and bought some thing from f21 :D hee, a top and a sparkly bag!! nice!! really tired that day because we did a lot of walking...and shopping at far east plaza...there are soo many nice clothes...but i cant buy...it is really like a dagger is stabbed into my heart...and it gets stabbed even deeper whenever i see something i like and i cannot buy...:(:(:( june22 please come soon....

i got this eyeshadow primer to help prevent the eye make-up from creasing and fade away, it really works! my eye make-up is usually gone at the end of the day but not on that particular saturday night! it was really a good buy!

ok, i am bright awake, so lets continue.

yes, battlestar galactica!!!! hahaha, i only conquered it once for the human track, brave mei mei took the human track again before we left!

look at the track, it is about 14 storeys high!!! the first drop really felt like free fall...yes, it was almost like i jump off the building, but i am still safe and sound :)

my crazy mother and cousins, they went to sit on the human track again!!! initially i was sooo worried for mummy...because after my first ride, my heart pump very quickly....i was soo afraid that something will happen to her if she takes too many of these rides...but...she is still alive and kicking..lol..the reason why they took human track again was because cyclone was under maintainence, lol, usually ppl will take a rest first then play right??? they went to the ride immediately!!?? crazy right..so it was..

Hi!!!
yup, as mentioned in the last post i went out with mummy and mei mei to celebrate post-mothers' day for the superwoman in our lives! :)

we went to have dinner at suntec city, had la mian xiao long bao at crystal jade!!!

me and sis, and yes...
i cut my hair!

hahaha, wanted to trim it...but i think the hairdresser seem to cut a bit too short...previously, i think my cut is like a "semi" bob?? like it is a bit longer than this..but this, is really a bob i think..couldnt really get use to this length...nv had short hair for a while alr! haha, this is going to be my last cut, i am determined to keep it long after that :D

we were too busy eating the food...WE ARE STARVING! haha, we ordered one zha jiang mian, 2 long of xlb and one 红油抄手, i know it seems quite little for 3 ppl...but we are really full after that!!! hahaha, we all have some appetite:) hee

This is my outfit of the day! i wore my green pleated long skirt from missypixie! It is called michelle, love it!!!! and and, i am wearing more colours! other than my usual...black, white, beige, grey, navy blue.

and finally, the day ended with a movie! we went to watch 'Beastly'! it was nice, kudos to the make up artist we did the "beastly" make-up for the main lead, really made him ugly...haha, and mary-kate olsen played the witch role really well!! hahaha, she has the spooky witchy feel in the movie:) The story was really a bit like the original Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'.

In 'Beastly', the beast(his name was Kyle, but wish to call himself Hunter in front of beauty) was put to stay in another apartment according to his father's plan...well, because he was hideous and must be kept out of sight. (the father's mindset is also the very distorted kind like "you will only be liked and successful if u are good looking, you are nothing when u are ugly and hideous") To break the spell, he will have to find someone to love him for he is on the outside, accepting and loving him despite his ugliness. He has (i think) a year to do this. He slowly begin to are for others and learn to accept who he is. This is with the help of beauty(Her name was Lindy in the movie) of course! Beast requested beauty's father to let her stay with him, cos beauty's dad got into trouble and beauty's safety may be compromised. Sounds a bit like the original one...like it was also because of the father, so beauty had to stay with beast.. haha., of course he got his "I love you" and happily ever after :)

I think that the movie was really light-hearted and beast was really cute and funny when he was trying his best to impress beauty, hahaha..he had been trying to buy her expensive gifts like dresses, and jewelery from bvlgari (sp??) ya...which puts her off. hahahaha, but he did impress her...by simple gestures like getting her cds...and favourite snack...and even building a greenhouse for her!!! aww....i am glad he won her heart....please...a guy build a greenhouse for you eh, and filled it with roses somemore, how can u not be moved..? hee

Just had a new haircut, it is a bit shorter than the last cut...hmmm, still trying to get use to it..

People always have monday blues...but I am the exception...

On a usual friday for this semester, I have lesson from 10.30am all the way till 7.30pm. It is better on even weeks when there are human motivation tutorials in the afternoon to occupy my day before MB106 lecture at 5.30pm. Fridays are blue-er on odd weeks when i have to drag myself thru 6 hours of break before my next lesson...but this week, it is SO special and memorable that i will remember for life.

In the first place, i really dread the arrival of friday this week because of the release of quiz results during cognitive tutorial. I knew that i may not have done well as i should..therefore i truly dread this particular friday...But, thats not all...

After receiving my results, in a state of angst and frustration of all the stupid mistakes that i made....i toppled my waterbottle and it hit my right toe nail...OUCH!!! yes..., now there is a blueblack and it still hurts a little...But, thats not all...

To appease myself, i had my comfort food- vegetarian with my favourite potatoes, to make myself feel better. Thereafter, i had a productive discussion with lee shyuan over the presentation for human motivation...When the clock strikes 2.15pm, we made our way to the tutorial room, thinking that it is good to be there early to enjoy the aircon. Strangely, there was no one..and we waited..and waited...

2.35pm...

lee shyuan: Where is everybody??? it is like 5 mins past 2.30 already...

Me: ya....they are soo late?? wait wait, was there a change in tutorial room???

lee shyuan: okok, i check edventure and email to see if there is any announcement.

Me: (looking at my timetable to check that we are at the correct tutorial room)

Me: umm, i think it started at 1.30..

lee shyuan: ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!

Me: (weakly) ya....neh...u see...(pointing to her the timing for the tutorial)

lee shyuan: so means, it ended early??? then our assignment how??? need to submit in tutorial leh!!!

Me: oh no oh no how.........wait i call C and ask her...

lee shyuan: okok, i check whether there is any way we can contact dennis(name of the TA)

Me: (after talking to C) they ended early...cuz there is no presentation this week, they handed in assignment and left already!!!

lee shyuan: shit la, how?????

Me: okok, we call Prof Joyce????

I called her..and she picked up!!!!! It was such a relief that she is in her office!!! And, we rushed to HSS to hand up our assigment...

Looking back, I think that despite all these upsetting things going on today...i find myself giving thanks to God in everything.

Thank God for the quiz results, for i know my mistakes and i did relatively well and above average :)

Thank God for all the journey mercies this week as i drove to school. I have never driven on my own since i got my license and i am glad that there are considerate drivers out there who are patient with my driving and give way to me :)

Thank God that I was able to find out in time that tutorial was at 1.30, if not we would have missed the deadline (assignment to be handed in by the end of tutorials, which was 3.30pm) and there is no way we can argue our way thru to hand up in another tutorial since our session was the last one for the week :)

Thank God that Prof Joyce was in her office to pick up the call (university profs may not be there at their office all the time, it was taking a leap of faith) :)

As I looked at old photos of myself, precious memories are recollected.

I am glad how I have grown and made it thru-

from a small little girl,

to a fat neighbourhood secondary sch girl,
to a stressful and low self-esteem JC girl,
to a university undergraduate who have reconciled with God and to have someone to love.

Therefore, to mark the start of a new journey in life, out with the old and embrace the new!

Taiwan Day 1!!!

Hi!!!

finally, HOLIDAY. I just arrived in Taiwan ytd...it was a longggg day. We took thai airways and we have to transit at bangkok, reached taiwan at about 10.30pm.

For the first night, the temperature was ok, cooling:) like aircon! and, the best part is, there is WIFI in the room!!!yays! but, i think that is the only best thing in the hotel...it only look nice at the lobby, and we have visitors in the room, flies!!!!!zzz..hiaz...but what to do, it is more economical..so, shall not complain..:)

okok, Day 1:)

Woke up by my church alarm, hahaha, it is sunday after all! never eat a lot during breakfast, cuz...i know i will eat a lot outside!!! :D
my uncles and aunties and cousin are super big eaters, and the breakfast wasnt enough! so we went to this local market place at 民权西路, it is called 晴光市场. well, apparently, we were there too early, many of the shops are not open...hahas, but some roadside stalls are opened, so my relatives finally reach satiety.

Then, we shop around and going into random shops. I told myself not to buy any clothes, bags, accessories, shoes in taiwan since i will be heading to bangkok on wednesday:) and...anyways,it is still very cold, so everything is winter wear, nothing to buy also..haha. and then, it is LUNCH TIME, eat again! we had 度小月, ehhh...it is very nice minced pork noodles, taiwan style. It was nice!!!

Thereafter, we took a long mrt ride, wanted to go to 南势脚 to shop...we spend a long time walking and finding the place..and.. all not open:(hiaz...all of us were tired so we grabbed a cup of hot coffee from seven eleven!

Next stop, 基隆!!! It is my first time to that place! We had another longgg mrt ride and train ride. all of us completely dozed off during the ride..When we were there.., it was FREEZING!!! The wind, the rain......very cold....

it was crowded and i feel very sian to walk on the wet streets and with the umbrella, walking in the midst of soo many people.and feeling so cold and look so chui..bought my beauty diary mask from cosmed and had guo tie and suan la tang with sis and mum. It was, once again, my relatives that keeping eating, from stall to stall..haha, they must be enjoying themselves a lot!

Then...we took the train to 松山 and went to roahe night market. I think it was quite good! a lot of food and shopping was ok:) no la, the food is more to my liking, hee...and i bought taiyang bing!!!!!and once again, many many people.

I am totally loving it.........the place is nice...i mean the decoration...the food is awesome....i want to go back for more!!! had my first experience at marche with Joee and her sis:) let the pictures speak for themselves:)

I spent the last minute of 2010 in...a car, with drusilla. HAHAHAHAHA

Well, we were on our way to pick up people from church, who stayed behind to clean up after down memory lane. So, because dru came late, so that was how i spent my countdown. lol...

And as always, 1990s is going to have a sleepover at joanne's house!!! but prior to that, i was down with a baddddd cold and sore throat too...and the weather was bad...it just made matters worse...i was totally restless and in daze the whole day..wasnt sure if i even sounded logical and right when i shared abt my thoughts for 2010 and goals for 2011..

Therefore, i shall make myself clear now.

Goal for 2011

Stop NATO-ing and really gain in knowledge of the Word. This is because, only by knowing the Word and loving His word, will I be able to reciprocate the His Love. Only by then, i will have the right state of heart and mind to serve Him better.

yup, simple enough, thats what i will do:)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!

This year, i made choc chip cookies for everyone in my batch!!! each of them are attached with a handmade Christmas greeting card!:) but...i have no pictures to share....was too busy making all of them..and i really worked till the VERY LAST MINUTE in the car :P hee...

i have 3 different events to attend to within one day, hahaha, Christmas, as always, is indeed one of the busiest day during the hols for me!:D

GOOD JOB 1990S!!!! hahaha, most of my batch are involved in the performance:) AND, the guys DANCE VERY WELL!!! i am sooo proud for you all....hiaz...too bad kenneth did not partner with joanne..hahahah

I am also very very very happy that i brought my family and him along to the concert:) esplly him, who has just completed his paper, thanks for making the effort to come:):):)

really hope that thru all these efforts, their hearts can be touched too.

YES!!!!! i am soooooo happppppyyyy!!!! but mentally and physically tired....biopsych was one of the hardest paper to prepare with soooo many things to rmb...

I woke up at 3.30am this morning to continue in my revision. I have to admit, i had moments during the day in which i panicked and worried that i cannot finish every thing in time...which in fact was true, i dont have the facts from all 18 chaps that was covered thruout the entire semester for biopsych. But, i rmbed the verse. Romans 8:37 and i told myself'--if God has brought me thru the previous paper, I can trust in Him to help me conquer this last and most challenging paper!!!!

It was alright after all:)

Thankful for His love and grace:):)

Now...i need sleep....desperately...nights..........

Youth conference just ended ytd, i never regretted attending even though i was there only for the evening messages. God has wonderfully brought me thru the week as i juggled between revision and attending church. As i approach this week, i will tell myself to just trust in the love of God, to trust in Him that He will bring me through it all safely.

This was the verse that Shi Min shared with me in a small note that she wrote.

"Yet in all these things, we are more than conquerors, through Him who love us"

- Romans 8:37

This will be the verse that i will be with me through these 2 challenging weeks of exams. It shall also be another verse that i will keep in my heart, for the rest of my life.

It was a great great experience with yoguru. The job scope was simple, wonderful co-workers and bosses...and...the cutest cutest customer( well not really a customer):):):) I had a wonderful time baby sitting him for a while, when my boss is away:) aww..he will be the only thing that makes me miss my job...

so, these are some photos taken on my last day. I wore(almost) the same outfit to work as my day 1 back in June, jeans with a nice blouse:) These are not the usual dress code you expect from yogurt swirlers..haha, but that was wat i wore for day one! ok, talk less, pictures now~

Yup...the worse ever! sigh...last week was my recess week, and...no! it is not really a week to rest for me...

i spent so much time mugging at home... almost the whole week..
i planned a laundry list of things to be completed but...i underestimated how much time biopsych will take me...hiaz...

And today, i finally finish the quiz!!! happy but..not happy..it is NOT A DIFFICULT QUIZ= MANY ppl will score well! hiaz...thinking of all the silly mistakes i made, i really hope i can be at least secure a good grade...please please God...

My grades are all coming in...in my opinion...not satisfactory..at all...
Sometimes, i am really really very angry with myself..for under performing when i know i can do well...and at times, i am really tired tired tired....

But, happy thoughts of halloween( Night safari), 2510, 2410-0015am, God's promises.., it just makes me smile and warms my heart:) Materialistic things, like shopping, bags, nice clothes, travelling, good food- may make you feel good. But, the feeling of guilt, be it overspending or splurging, will creep back to you.
I think...having a happy thought... will really make your day

Yesterday...was my cousin's big day. It was heartwarming and a wonderful experience for me to be her bridesmaid:)

In preparation to be a pretty 姐妹 for my cousin, i had facial, manicure, waxing, brow trimming and intense masking just for 10-10-10. Not to mention stricter diet restriction...i solely stick to soupy noodles and snack-free diet and exercise for the 2 weeks, but there are days that i had more carb intake...
All the 5 姐妹s are first-timers, or what the experienced photographer calls us "rookies". Just 2 ang pows and a few tasks, the groom made it into the house already. The ang pow money was also...er...(painfully, i think) little..

oh oh, today....I GOT MY DRIVING LICENSE CARD!!!!YAYYYYYY :):):)

i dont know what is wrong with me...i wonder is it the time of the month that i will feel this way or what...

just feel very tired and not happy these days...

i am becoming tired of defending myself...and slowly i am considering seriously what is it that i really want...
was this investment really worth it?...will it last?
seems like i couldnt shun away the fact that i am insecure about the future...
i had the problem before, i thought i moved on...but seems like it is back to haunt me...

looking back..., seems like my efforts are not reciprocated...
i am tired of initiating things...why is it always me...

maybe teacher wei hui and mummy is right...it is time to take small steps now and not to paint such a rosy picture of the future...

I really think 20/09 is a good day....last year was great, this year.....it was awesome:)

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!! I am soooo happy and really, thank God! On my way to Eunos the weather was fine and sunny. But, when i reached the driving center, it starts to get cloudy and the more i waited for time to pass...the darker the sky looks.....>.<>.<" Thank God, my tester was very nice and the sky was slightly overcast BUT NO RAIN:D:D:D I realllllyyyyyy want to jump sky high when he told me I PASS!!!! really, Thank God.

And on the same day that i passed my test, i get to drive my mum hoooommmmeeee, from changi airport:D Well, it was a smooth drive home.., except that i made some...er...mistakes...minor la...hahahahaha. oh oh, and i really cant park my father's honda civic hybrid>.< i am too used to school's toyota vaios! yikes! Well, haha, i will perfect it in time to come! i am sure of it:)

Well, not long ago my chruch just celebrated 37th anniversary, one of the focus was on the heritage that God has blessed s with. I am glad i have one too:)

Hi all~!!!!

I typed a pretty long blog post...and stupid blogger, dont know what went wrong, my post just went *poof* and is GONE. HEART BREAK AHHHHH...nvm, berlinda cheong shall type again...to compensate for not blogging after such a long time

Sorry i haven been blogging for such a looong time again. I have been caught up with projects deadlines and assignment and revision>.< well...my uni seems to think that we are all shen tongs that we can go on with revision for examinations and complete our projects at the same time. And...for academic year 2010-2011 semester 1 examinations will be after Christmas, how awesome is that~(DOTS...)

Anyway...yesterday was mummy's bday!!! i cooked and baked for her:) Haven been baking for quite some time already, glad the cake turned out fine:) and...the best thing was...I WENT FOR S.H.E CONCERT!!!!! IT IS THEIR BEST CONCERT THUS FAR!!! They covered many songs in their concert, even those in their first 2 albums like Beauty up my life and Remember. IT WAS THE ULTIMATE S.H.E SING ALONG EVER!!! We were sooooo high!!! They also sang different versions of their songs, like chu dian jazz version, and also other artiste songs like Ah mei’s san tian san ye, and Mayday’s song I lost my voice after the concert>.< There was a special segment during the concert, KBOX SESSION!!! They sang Jay Chou’s Jian Dan ai, Fish leong’s ching pai, Faye wong’s Hong dou. The most hilarious part was they acted out their own MVs!!! Hhahhahahaha,luckily I bought the most expensive tix:D I had a good view from the stage;) hee hee. Okie, sharing my photos in another blog post, credits to Vivian, shi min, and my humble 7.2 mp Off to study~

Hi all!!!

Happy Easter!!!

It has been a busy weekend for me...the musical and sunday worship service at Shangrila hotel. Physically drained but mentally and spiritually strong!!!:D

Really thank God for His wonderful blessings upon us as the choir performed for Easter musical and for the service. It has been many months of preparations and i am glad all our efforts were well paid...

At this moment, i am totally drained....i wanted to talk abt how marvelous the Shangrila's lunch was but....haha, save that for next post when i am fully-charged:)

I managed to talk to Wei Hui老师 and Jermaine today. haha, talking to Jermaine was more exciting than usual, haha, now that i JUST discovered something new in church. hahaha. After talking to them, i realised there are a lot of things i need to consider as i move on...i will do my best and pray that God will grant me more opportunities in future...

Oh, and one last thing before i plan my revision schedule. Ma ma woke up!!!! :D:D:D Truly thank God once again for answering our prayers!!!

O Lord, thank you for the love You have for all of us. We are sinful and unworthy of this love and yet You still love us, to the extent of sending Your son to die for us to redeem our sins. Truly, Lord, accept our love and service in return for all that You have done for us.

Hi!!!

My blog is alive and kicking le!!! hahaha, sorry for the long absence...>.< hahaha

Today...is Palm Sunday, one thing that will be done over Palm Sunday in our church is the Baptismal Service. And....guess who came for paedo-baptism this easter? BABY MAGDELINE!!! yup,she is Pastor Charlie's granddaughter and she came all the way from the States to be here with us:) She is soooooooo cute!!! Pastor was so happy today, to baptise his dear granddaughter and receiving the well wishes from everyone in church:) And and....we celebrated Pastor's 60th birthday!!! The combine choir sang 'You raise me up'. We were suppose to have Geoffrey to start singing the solo part first, but...Aunty Sally had other arrangements. She had her son Christopher to sing the solo part! After we sang...Pastor broke into tears, tears of joy. For his beloved son came all the way back to celebrate this very special day with him and to lead in singing, truly moved his heart and i believe all of us could feel it too:)

Happy 60th birthday Pastor Charlie!!! Thank you so much for all the wonderful lessons and guidance.

nasi briyani, satays, rojak, glutinous rice(those cooked in black sauce and fried onion slices)
Dessert??
Church-made muah chee, ice kachang, walls ice cream (as in conetto cone ice cream and the rainbow pop?). Then later, they brought out more dessert, some durian dessert and a red bean pastry! YUM!!

I ate a lot!!! I am not a fan of cream pasta...but the carbonara was AWESOME!!! then, i still ate satayS...muah chee...the red bean pastry...and gobbled down one conetto to myself:P

hahahaha, i was hoping for mee siam but...i was satisfied:)hohoho

I am rather busy with easter concert preparations over the weekends...but the entire process was great:) I am now back in Hall and i need to work on my assignments and grp projects, yikes!!! and...Final theory test is tmr....*smack forehead*

well, i can do it!!!i truly thank God for His grace and mercy,for helping and guiding me thru the mid terms and the busy schedule in sch. I faired reasonably for my mid terms, and once again, thank God for His blessings upon Joee for her 3 years in poly. Now, my prayer for her is asking the Lord to grant her patience as she waits for uni offer letters:)

Hello!!!it has been sooo long since last blogged...sorry...cuz hall life is really busy..,so many events and dinners and suppers>.<

sign..since i started my hall life, i have 4 or 5 meals a day! haha..when i went home on fri, my stomach is growrling like mad at 1am plus..i had to wake up to make a hot milo for myself>.<

in hall 3, there are lots of activities. Angel-Mortal game, inter block games like volleyball, street soccer etc...this week is recreation week..hectic right?

I wonder if i have mentioned before that ntu is super hot and stuffy. When it rained last friday, it was like an eclipse has occured..haha. i truly see no point in putting too much make up unless u intend to touch up now and then..cuz, walking from one spine to the other and with the heat, u will perspire like mad..so.., i look very plain in school but all the walking does help me to lose a lot of calories though:)

Last sat was anniversary!!! Happy 36th Anniversary Bethany Independent Presbyterian Church!! God's kind of church, where God is touching lives and people care for people:)

Heylo!!

yay! i officially moved in to Hall already:DD ha...enjoying my room alot!! aircon..spacious room..convenient( to places with gd food:) )

hmmm..will be going to HSS library tmr...see if can borrow some books to prep myself for thurs lecture! hee...no class till thurs!!!:)) Woot!!! i love my course! Tmr is Add-drop period, i hope i can get the modules and time slots of my choice!i hope to do business law and marketing in addition to my core modules..if i can get the time slots of my choice, my mondays will be FREE!!!

and..tmr is Mambo night! JASH at ZOUK! never been there before but shall see how it goes..i think i will be like last year when i was at butter factory with viv they all, stand at one corner and observe others >.<

Hello everyone!!! I just came back from hall camp ytd! did not update for sometime le...so, this will be a reasonably long post:)

hmm..after participating 3 FOCs..these are some of the observations i have...

1) there is bound to be Amazing Race(AR)...i participated 3 ARs already. I think the most fun and well-planned AR would be the hall FOC followed by HSS FOC:)

2) "Nobody" is a song item that is sung in all 3 camp. u either do it as a performance item, sing for fun or to do it as a task in a game.

3) Food is 菜饭...all the time...but not for hall FOC! the food provided is super nice!!!if i did not rmb wrongly..

Day 1- 菜饭 with 3 料
- Bee Hoon with fish balls and hot dog

Day 2- Porridge with Youtiao!!
- fried rice with 2 chicken drumsticks
- BBQ!!!!satay, atah, hotdog, chicken wings, crabmeat and mee goreng

Day 3- i dont know because i was not around...i heard breakfast was 豆浆油条!dinner is at a pub-cafe called Blooies(?) and beer and drinks were provided. One of the GL treat me a cocktail! It is called Singapore Swing(?)!! i prefer that as compared to beer >.<

Day 4- Nasi Lemak (we need to eat more to have energy for AR)
- packed rice (Obento style)
- dinner at Golden Mile hawker center (to complete 食字路口 as one of the AR task)
- Mac's for supper ( we had a "Sleepless Night"! i had a few shaker fries:) )

day 5- bee hoon with fish cake and chicken nuggets ( i did not eat..too tired (z.Z) )

the food provided is superb!( for a FOC )

4) Fright Night!! HSS was held at sentosa...did i mention before my partner and i were the only pair that got lost? haha..despite all the scary NS paranormal encounters in the forest that i had heard of, i was not very afraid..but! the Hall one really freak me out...it was held at two buildings in Changi...somehow i got really scared...but thank God for His protection and my partner..i made it thru!!

5) Acting out funny advertisements as a performance item is very common. My OG was the only grp in HSS FOC that did adverts. In hall FOC, there are only 2(?) out of the 5 that did not do adverts for their performance. My OG for hall camp did a skit:) VISA, Heineken, Ribena-Lemon, M1 were the popular ones performed.

6) You can never escape "initiation".

HSS FOC- soy sauce + tomato + watermelon + milo powder + flour +w ater etc...

Hall FOC- milo + lemon barley + bread + carrot + cucumber + ribena + tomato sauce etc.= the spiritual drink X.X i almost vomited..

7) There is always SP and SP night...i did not manage to meet my Hall SP, i still missed the SP night after SS dinner outing.

8) All 3 FOC are held at chalets.

i think that is all...haha...

Today at church, the Youth Choir performed "How Great You Are" !!!Great Job everyone!! This is one of those songs that truly touched my heart and i love to sing it!! Congrats Bethany IPC!!!WE ARE DEBT FREE!!!YAY!!!WHOOO!!hee, Pastor Charlie is super happy today when he chaired:))

hmm, after that i went to move my stuff into the hall. sign, i still have more stuff to bring tmr..I truly thank God for placing me in the same hall as sui hui and yu wen!! it is so coincidental that we are in the same block and level too!!hee :)))

Lastly...HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!! i recited the Pledge at 8.22 pm! have you? :)

i just recovered from my cold..yes...i fell sick again after my Psychology camp..but i am ok le! sign...i have camp AGAIN next week...it is hall camp..sign, i think all these camp is too taxing for my aging body >.<

anyway..,i found something funny on youtube! my OG mates at psych camp were sharing with me the mrbrown swine flu song! it is really hilarious!

I AM BACK FROM HSS FOC 2009!!!!

hah...5 days pass by soo quickly...it was really fun and my OG was best OG!!!YAY!!!KUZA ROCKS!!! during the course of the foc..i saw ming yue!!( being piggy-backed^^) and hui wen!!haha, so happy that we are in the same uni!!

i am quite scared for Hall foc >.< hiaz...i am not young anymore and another 5D4N camp i scared it will be too taxing for me...but my GLs for HSS foc it is good to attend the foc to get to know more ppl...sign..have to go thru initiation, SP night and fright night again...but....i am glad i got Hall 3!!!!YAY!!air con air con air con!!

lately, my entire family is hook up to the laptop-.- daddy and mummy watches drama online and sis watches korean entertainment shows from youtube...sign...been hearing a lot of complain abt my com is too slow etc etc from mum...hiaz...will be sending my lappy in to upgrade to a better RAM...

She is watching from www.pps.tv now...it is quite a good website as there are amny movies and dramas uploaded and they are free. but, u will have to download their "player" in order to watch the videos, the dl was dreadful, took us half a day..sign..

well, i just finish packing my bag for tmr( or should i say today) HSS FOC!! i am really really excited!!! I am in the same OG as Youying too!!!cant wait!!

Hiiii!!!

just came back from amk hub...watched harry potter and the half blood prince with joee!!!
well, what can i say, it is harry potter, thumbs up:) really funny and nice, the grahics and everything are done very well! but they cut away quite a lot of parts...i find the scenes quite "jumpy", i think if one has not read the actual 6th book, they may not catch the movie...but, it is still very good..Ron is sooo funny, haha!

i am now watching 明星志工队, really touched by the story of little girl- Sangji.I wonder if i will cry later...preparing my tissues now..

i recovered le:) but still have a lot of phlegm >.<

ytd i met up with my room mate- Yu Jing. We had lunch and she gave me a really nice hair clip!! will be baking something for her when we move into our hall:)

lately, i am making some accessories using crystals, wires and charms that i bought. Yup, i intend to open a blogshop selling accessories:) my sister will also use it as a platform to sell clothes. Do support us when it is open!! ouch, my finger hurts >.< wiring is tough T.T

Sick X.X

for a moment i really thought i got H1N1...I was having runny nose, sore throat...then my body temp went up to abt 37.9 degrees Celsius...today i feel slightly better.."less runny"
nose and sore throat..body temp went back to normal:)

i wonder if it is due to over exhaustion..i was helping to clear my father's room with my mum ytd..sign, 6 hours of clearing and cleaning up...i did not have proper meals and did not drink sufficient amt of water..

breakfast- coffee and one kaya bread
"lunch"- 2 muffins and a few sips of chinese tea
"dinner"- two pieces of popiah and chinese tea

sign...body aches every where...shi min! i need massage!!!

Hi all!

i did not update ytd cuz i came home really late. After Pastor Mitch class, i rush to marina square to meet up with zhi lin, qiu jun, hwee kee and michelle to watch transformers. sign, turn out i was really late and we missed the very front parts.

i think i need to rent the dvd for the first movie...so that i can understand the plot better. i like the story but i at first i cant seem to figure who are the good and bad robots.(they do look quite alike at first) then i realized-those silvery colour once are the bad guys, those colourful ones are the good guys. haha...

It ended at 11.10!!My first movie with friends that ended soo late..but i really enjoyed it:)

Hello hello!!!berlinda is back from long long long hiatus!!!haha

i will try to update more regularly this year because i put in so much effort to this new skin...i even added a jukebox!haha..and it is rilakkuma skin!!!

some updates...i am going to be a ntu freshman this august, majoring in psychology and considering business as a minor. I intend to take up korean as an elective for the first sem, i may drop it if it is pulling down my GPA. i truly thank God for His blessings because getting into psych was really unexpected due to my grades:D i will be staying in hall!really looking forward to school because i am like a 宅女...always stay at home..use com and play fb games...read books and help my mum to do house chores and cooking.

Today i went to sch for medical check up...the wait was long but the check up was super fast..this was the first time i did a urine test, it was quite challenging(?) haha, it requires some 'skill' to aim properly into the cup..ok shall not elaborate further..

well..i think thats all for now..bb:)

Hi all!! Easter Musicale is this fri and sat!!i am soooo excited! *\(^0^)/* This post is dedicated to the event- for those who are coming and for those who are still considering abt it.

What is it??

The musicale is set in Jesus’ time…the majority of the people are jews and we are all in costume^^ it shows the time Jesus came to preach and helped the people till the day he was crucified and how He resurrected from the dead. There are acting parts in between the songs most of our thoughts and feelings and the message to be conveyed are in the lyrics of the songs. I think for those who come for the musicale will be able to understand what is Easter all about and why we celebrate it. I will be singing, slight dancing and acting:D

Sequence

Based on my past experiences of all the concerts held in my church, the entire programme will last about 1.5 hours and supper will be provided. Admission is free and it is free sitting. Although the event starts at 8 pm, I strongly encourage for those who are coming to arrive earlier…at around 7.30-7.45 pm will be great. This is because for late comers or for those who cant find seats, you will be re-located to another location where you get to watch the programme from a screen, direct telecast from the main stage. I don’t think that will be very enjoyable and there will be a scene where performers will whisper in the dark…I doubt the “direct telecast” can catch that well…and (the most important reason)…the position I am standing is usually in front on the right…so come early and get good seats in center front ;)

Firstly, Pastor will address the audience. He will begin with a word of prayer and then he will lead in a few hymnals singing (At times he will ask the crowd to rise and sing) For those who are uncomfortable with singing Christian hymnals, it is ok to not sing along de. (Don’t have to feel obliged to do so) He will probably give the audience some background knowledge of some characters in the musicale and the performance will start! The duration of the actual performance is 1 hr.

At the end of the musicale, Pastor will close in prayer and offering (money) bags will be passed around. (don’t need to feel obliged to give an offering if you don’t want to:)) Refreshment will be served at level one. From past experience, they will buy back finger food like doughnuts, soon kueh, dim sum like pau and char siew sau, curry puff…the kitchen sometimes may prepare some food like sandwich etc.

Serangoon mrt station- exit via exit 4, take bus service 22, 43, 70, 70M alight opp church

Kovan mrt station- exit from mrt station to bus stop before heartland mall. Take bus service 80 alight opp church

Bishan bus interchange- take bus service 58 alight opp church

Paya Lebar mrt- exit mrt station and cross the overhead bridge at paya lebar road take bus service 24, 70, 76 alight at bus stop after quemoy road( alight at the bus stop after a blu-glass building(my church))

well...i got back my results and i am really happy with it!!

There are a lot of things to rejoice about...

1) God have shown quite clearly the next step i should take in life
2) I did not fail a single subject:) any grades above C will be a blessing to me...
3) my total ranking points is 75.4!! above 70!!hee:D
4) I Aced my GP(totally unexpected)
5) i Aced my history(if i dont get A i will cry...cuz i really studied very hard and did not spot for any particular topic..i studied EVERYTHING and it is all worthwhile:) )

yup..i always thought i am a very bio-chem person...so i always wanted to get into ntu bio sciences...but with my reslts i reconsidered as it may not be the path God wants me to go to...

so... after going to all the open houses...this is how i will rank my choices.

NTU- psychology, Biological science, Chinese, Communication studies, linguistics
and Multilingual studies

NUS- Life sciences, nursing, faculty of arts and social science

SMU- Social sciences

yup...so pray for me that i will get into the course of my choice and i will blog again soon!!

Hi all…I am really busy these days so cant update my blog…sorry: (
Ok…the last time I blogged was after bio paper 1 on the 20 nov…that was like SO LONG ago can!!Had several things going on…so this will be a SUPER long post.

22-25 nov KL trip

Well, overall I did not really enjoy the trip…I fell very sick and shopping cannot be comparable to the thrill of shopping in bankok…I had 650RM and I spent to 0.15 RM…not even sufficient for u to go toilet in Malaysia…lol..but still not shiok enough..i mean one will feel better when you buy a lot of stuff at S$4-8 bucks as compared to S$12.50 right?haha..but..,I fell sick on the first day at KL..cuz we ate food stuff from street food carts.I think my body juz cant take the food..but it was NICE!!!We had fried kuay teow and soya beancurd!!hiaz…but I got food poisoning like the next day?haha..BUT, that did not stop me from shopping! i continued:P hee..i bought two pair of shoes and jumper and jackets and my prom dress!!…then I realise..i did not shop for new year clothes!yikes!!i only bought a checkered dress and I need two more sets of new clothes…that is why I am shopping for them with joee…hee

26-27 nov class chalet at pasir ris

One day after I am back, I went to class chalet! Miss all of them right now…and our class lingo…I feel awkward using them at work…sign…
We did not do anything much since I went on the second day and a lot of ppl went home alr…we had dinner and eventually, the ones left were vivan, youying and me…quite sad right?but, I am glad I went to chalet…that night, we went to kbox until 2am and we chat thru the entire night..it was then I realised that both viv and youying regarded me as an impt friend and we confide to each other our thoughts and feelings with regards to school and relationship…I am “enlightened” by viv and youying over something…shall not share it here:P I am also surprised that viv and youying did not detect my “emo” period that I am struggling thru in JC1…when I think about it, I probably put up a “flawless” brave front and I really thank God who strengthen me to walk thru those difficult times.

28 nov pack room!

My room was super messy!!!i cleared all my notes and sorted out those that I want to sell, keep, give…busy the whole day…currently, I am left with my wardrobe unpacked…

29 nov AJC alumni gathering

If I did not rmb wrongly, the ajc alumni sent me a letter and informed me that I am the “selected” students to join the alumni…Genim called me before and informed me regarding this gathering and text me the location…it was held at Han’s café at NLB bugis met up with xiao ping and joy…when we got there, we were so shock to see another ajcian from another class sitting with the seniors…we were like.., “is that all?juz the 4 of us??!!” then, they told us that there were more from other classes but they want to make such informal gathering small…joy ask them how they choose students to join…they reply, “you are here because someone in the staff room likes you and nominated you: )”…dots…the session was quite ok…we just talk and discuss abt wat the alumni those etc…

30 nov go church

Ah…I two months skip church alr…I was very scared teacher victor consider me as a newcomer and present me with a welcome gift!then It will be super awkward!!but luckily it did not happen…whew…

1 dec chinatown

i have decided that this year I will make Christmas present for everyone that I know in church as well as my pen pals^^Xin ying, Cherissa, Jze Ying…it will be a hp strap or key chain(depends on how ppl want to to use it..)I bought wires, beads etc…hope my hard work will be well paid off!!

2 dec Facial appointment

It is one day away from prom!!i have to admit that the state of my face is not good…due to A levels..very oily and dirty..i went to do facial by a beautician recommended by joee…
Then, it rained…drizzled to be accurate…so I just walk along the streets without umbrella…after that…I fell sick again..caught a bad flu and lost my voice…sign…

3 dec PROM!!!

This day finally came…but…I am sick!!was slightly feverish in the morning…so mummy force me to take a super strong medicine…indeed I felt slightly better...mei cheng jie jie had agreed to help me with hair and make up! I am glad she helped me since she is familiar with putting make up for others for different occasions…she learnt this skill since she took up theatre studies at NAFA…hee…I also save up some money: ) I went to paragon to meet up with viv and the rest who were doing hair and make up..overall the food was ok…but I did not eat a lot since I still quite sick…but I was lucky that night!i won a prize in the lucky draw!!!it was buffet for two at mariott…hmmm…who should I go with?..the dinner ended at 12 am…so late!!now I understand why some of my classmates don’t want to go for the prom…you have nothing much to do there…the food come very slowly and the prog was ok…a lot of ppl went ard to take photos…hiaz…nvm..it was a good experience..After the dinner, we went to a club-butter factory…I really want to see wat a club is like and wed was ladies night…so we don’t have to pay for entry…it was then I realised that there were several jc having their prom on the 3rd…butter factory was packed and it was booked for NYJC…so…we just queue at the VIP and guests line…cuz the other queue is soo long! By that time I am totally drained…super tired…Initially we wanted to stay out the entire night to talk…but I just cannot bring myself to pull thru the night…we did not stay in the club for long…I seriously did not like the environment there…dark noisy crowded..will NEVER IN MY LIFE STEP FOOT IN A CLUB AGAIN.so abt 7 of us left and viv stayed in the club with her sec school friends…I reached home at abt 2 am…

4 dec Church BBq

Ok..,I reached home at 2 am and I was super tired…I slept until 4 pm on the 4th of dec…I missed breakfast and lunch and did not eat much during prom…I weighed myself and I hit my lowest weight..46 kg..sign..luckily I will be going to church camp…have to gain some weight..it was wai mun’s sms that woke me up…initially I wanted to skip the bbq de…but wai mun say that it is better to go to meet and get to know more ppl, and also to accompany li ya…so…,i still went for the bbq…the session was ok…I got to spoke with both pastor mark and mitch. And got to know more ppl from church…the two benjamins of the same age.., mr smart guy Alvin…audrey and friends…I am glad I was there and I look forward to youth conference!

5 dec dinner with hui qun and trendy

Hee…it has been a long time since we dine tgt^^met up with them at toa payoh and we dined at pasta mania. I have some history notes to pass to trendy...hope it will be useful to her!! I have to pass to hui qun her bdae present..hee…we chat over dinner and felt very happy for trendy…she top the arts cohort!!!wahhh…really glad to see her enjoying her time in SRJC…at least she seem happier there as compared to her time in AJC…All the best for A levels next year!!

6 dec Off to JB

I missed Malaysia HK café food in KL due to food poisoning…I will not miss it again!!!hee…we dined at wongkok HK café and I had noodles!woot!!we did not shop much..JB shopping not as exciting as KL…mummy and the rest went to do hair treatment while shi min and I went to the comic bookstore…after that…,we went to eat…again…hee…feel really satisfied^^

7dec The start of youth conference

After morning worship service.., I went home to do last minute checking and packing…really looking forward to camp!!

6-11 dec camp in progress

I really learnt a lot from the bible study lessons, vespers and the evening sessions with pastor Charlie…I cleared a lot of the questions that I have and I grow to love Bethany…it seems like I become more attached to the church than before and there was a sense of eagerness to learn more abt God’s word…the theme of the YC was “Be strong”…thus, the lessons learnt over camp are highly applicable in life…I really enjoyed the singing of Christian songs!!Every morning, camp officers will play some songs that we are familiar with…like “You are”…I thought we sounded better than the singer…hee..i enjoed the games too!!and the sketches…ben quah and gavin are soo funny…teacher li yen too!!strong sense of humor..haha..the sketches may be funny but they were acted based on real stories of individuals who faced difficult trials in life and the sketches depicts how they overcome it all by drawing strength from the Lord…on thurs night..we had a very special experience..the pastors bought candles from Ikea and we lit them and turn off all the lights in the sanctuary as we read the bible and listened to pastor charlie’s sharing…his want us to realize the difficulty of reading the bible and singing Christmas carols experience by the people that go to churches at night in the past..this was to emphasize the point that despite all these difficulties..ppl continue to worship the Lord and we ought to worship Him wholeheartedly as well.

12 dec last day of camp and cleaning up!!

I really love to clean toilets…especially the male handicapped toilet…easy to clean and fun!!hee..went to clean up straight after lunch and helped other levels to mop the floor, stack up the chairs and wash the cups and plates..before we break camp, all game groups have to put up a song item..my group sang “How great You are”…it is a very meaningful and nice song..li ya loved the lyrics too!!then, the batch of 1990s also put up a song item…we sang “My hope is built” and at the last part of the song, we ended it with the chorus of “yesterday, today and forever”…very nice..^^then, we practice two song items in which all the youth conferees will perform during Sunday’ s morning worship. The two songs are “Complete” and “His strength is perfect”…I really like both songs..

13 dec Buy Christmas Present, Christmas Caroling and someone’s bdae!!

Yup., it was Benjamin Quah’s bdae that day…same as Christmas caroling and I gave him a card…Happy Birthday!!! In actual fact, I am not supposed to go because I did not sign up for caroling in time…But, wai mun left for Bankok in the midst of the camp…so she ask me if I could go in her place…so, I went: ) Before caroling, my Sunday school teachers brought us to sks bookstore to choose our christmas present…I chose a NKYV bible..and I bought a bible cover for myself…very nice^^Thank you Teacher ai-leen, Valerie and siew chiong: )

14 dec Shopping with joee(part 1)

I was out for the entire day…went to church in the morning then met up with joee and we went to shop at far east…both of us bought some new year clothes^^but not enough for the entire CNY season..we need minimum three…both of us both one set of clothes only…so we will continue on the following sat!!

15-16 dec Working at NYP and signed up facebook

I finally start work…I need money…sign…spend too much alr…my work is ok…quite manageable and not too stressful…I am doing data entry…then at times I will have to do filing and sort out documents…I thinl the stress will come next year in end march-april…I will have a lot of data to enter by then…

Ok, shall not think or talk abt hows the exam etc., etc….its over, wats done was done….watever said will not make any changes alr…so pls don’t remind me or discuss with me regarding the papers…discussing further will just make both parties feel bad and uncertain…so pls don’t probe and ask.(this is not targeted to ppl from my class^^don’t worry, not backstabbing anyone here)

For those who don’t know, I actually stayed over at my grandma’s house for the last 10 days before A levels. It was indeed a wise decision as I could really focus there and it is a STUDYING OASIS…seriously these are some pictures taken..

The entire household is SO QUIET…only my grandma, maid and me are home the entire day…over there, you can only sleep, eat, study…there is only one tv in the house and it is in the leaving room…so, I scared watch tv will disturb my grandma…internet connection also quite slow…so don’t really bother going online…so you can do nothing productive other than studying,,,therefore, I literally studied 11-13 hours a day…amazing right?haha…

Put aside studies now…I can finally get my life back…for A levels, I sacrificed my youth, beauty(yes beauty), health, computer, shopping, television….a lot…hiaz…but I hope that the effort that I put in and the sacrifices would really not go wasted…

I am proud to say that I was the quickest person from our class to leave school…I bet a lot of 11/07 ppl are shock that berlinda with so many things to pack in the small black bag and always packing the slowest was the fastest today!!!!muhahaha!!!yup, really happy that I was over so I quickly left school, head home then to the salon!!!I HAD TO cut my fringe…it is super long and I feel super uneasy with it….prefer short fringe^^I showed a picture of a model fro Japanese seventeen mag the fringe that I wanted(length)…eventually she persuded me to perm straight away…and yes, I PERMED MY HAIR!!!very nice!!!but sis say I look like uni student(i am supposed to look like that right?? )…she is implying that I look much other than my actual age…嗯…　很惨…haha. Finish perming at ard 2.30 was super hungry…went to Maxwell for early dinner and I fisha whole plate of rice plus dessert!really rare to have such an appetite.

Went window shopping at bugis(yes, bugis again)…just walking ard to kill time…did not buy a lot of things..

Will be leaving for KL soon…that is the time my actual shopping spree begins!!!muhahaha!!!foot really hurts today…wore the wrong heels…sign…today finally can “rest” in peace le and watch project runway season 4!!!it is 11pm ppl!!!rmb to catch it!!!bye!!(^-^)

Hi all...It is officially 20 days away from A levels and this will be my final post until 20th nov...

A lot have happened and i be succinct and focus on the main issue...

Ok, i have an eye candy in AJC....he is THE type and look of guys that i will fall for...yup^^ but in my opinion...,eye candy is just "ok.., that is the kind of look i will fall for" is not like crush whereby ppl "alr like the person"...haha...i sound chim and verbose....neh'mind can understand-gd, cannot then neh'mind...

My class have a particular lingo....

we will have sentence structure like,"就很惨...(drag)" or "ngh...很惨", "对....(drag)" and the lastest "你 last day了(liao)...(drag)"...yup....at first only a few of us talk like that...now almost all the gurls in the class....neh'mind 11/07ians, this make us unique^^

I finally got my dream phone!!! it is very nice^^ sleek...
at first was rather disappointed that singtel dont have the phone....only m1 and starhub have...so i went to change my phone plan and gotten a new no. ....will not affect the bill much lar...this plan-powervalue 100 is exactly the same as ione plan of singtel in terms of the cost of monthly subscription and the no. of free smses and incoming calls...

just now i called-in to yes 933 fm....wanted to participate in the code game...the prize is $2000!!!!!a typical aunty like me cannot let such money making opportunity slip by mahz...i tried very hard to dial and the call finally got thru!!!heard jiafa pick up the call!!!very excited!!!then ask,"请问现在是玩酒心秘码的时段嗎?" He reply,"还没吔..."....ahhhh...missed opportunity....but still glad that i managed to call-in and talk to a DJ....feel really honoured and really thank jiafa for answering my call^^

On the last day of school, we went to minds cafe and have lunch and played games...it was really fun and minds cafe really provide a wide range of board games to play...and the environment was really cozy and comfortable...i got myself a dare in the end...had to take photo with one of the waiter there...taking photo is entirely ok...but the conversation that i have to say is truly embarassing....argh....dont ask me abt it>.<

Konnichiwa!!!I know…I very long nv update le….so here I am^^

I have been thru quite a lot...

1)I donated blood!!!!yes…this proves that my blood pressure is not low…wahahaha,,,it is a blood donation drive organized by the Humanitarian network in AJ…it is not painful…it is the pricking of the finger that is painful…some sort of check of the blood I think…the nurse pricked my finger and she used a capillary tube to take “some” of my blood…she filled the capillary tube ¾ full lor…then in the end…,she just took ONE drop…sign…when they insert the needle into my vein, I find it super cool lar…the needle actually trail(?)(I don’t noe how to put it in words) into my vein….is so cool lor….haha…some say that I am seriously mad...i also don’t noe why I am so fascinated…in the end…I kanna very serious blue black…it is very disgusting I have to admit…but not painful at all…shall think twice next time whether I should donate blood next time:p

2) I finally went to see the dentist for consultation abt the two wisdom tooth in the lower jaw…it is super painful at times…she advise me to extract them after A levels…the best and fastest way is to extract them in a hospital, two at a go…the rest for one week…I was thinking that i extract them over the sept one week hols…but it will be prelims then…so she also encourage me to focus on studies first…

3) I am inspired by Nicole and I am preparing lunch to school almost everyday…this is a picture of my bento….

Nicole suggest peanut butter with cheese…she say is nice…but I find the combi a bit weird…ok…shall try next time….

4) I will be going to Taiwan with joee in dec….yay!!!!i think it will only be the two of us…she wanted to go Thailand initially de…but no one at home wan to go…sign…I also doubt my traveling skills..like how to go ard the place….sign…I have to rmb wat transport to go to different places next time…

5) On one of the Saturdays, I went to a hokkaido fair with shi min…is was super crowded lar…why?because it is the last day…bought a cheesecake, green tea cake, rice balls and fried bread…w wanted to buy the pancake de…but very long queue and waiting time is up to 1½ hours?!yup…so in the end didn’t buy…pictures taken..

Hi, long weekends just ended…now back to school le…

I did quite well for maths paper two..BUT, I found places were I can gain more marks again…hehe…I think I am like a transposon…always jump grade…jump for chem. And bio le…now bio I am in STARFISH!!!For bio right, I also think that the particular hormone question was not marked well…like as if the marker just wrote a dash to the back of my answers and that’s it…is like he did not even bother to read my answer?!sign…lucky m rang gave us the marking scheme so that I can check for unmarked areas…or else…arghhh…haha…

Today econs ppl also get back their paper…all of them very disappointed….xp esp I guess…sign…cheer up girl…u can do it for prelims de…sign…where is my history paper???i dunno…mr Loh told us last week that he will most likely return us the paper on FRIDAY….like that is the day we get back our result slips???yup.., I HOPE he do notice that and return us the paper tmr…

For mass civcs today…I am so embarrassed…a member of the ministry of trade and industry came over and gave us a talk and the JC2 crowd were like so noisy…sign…no wonder miss Leong was so angry then…but in actual fact the talk was really good and I think we should all pay attention…the stats that were presented are very good for gp…sign…hazukashi….

Okie…shall update next time…need to do revision for nervous control le…a bit mad…this fri is quiz…next mon is test…hiaz…jia you ber…u can do it de!!!

I remember I mentioned in one of the post that I have grown strong after last year’s trials..indeed…I did not shed a single tear for the mid years…I thank God for the strength that He had blessed me…this is another lesson that I learnt this time round…

Hello….back again to update…shall not talk abt my results anymore…

Ok..,ytd went to JB with mummy and shi min…quite a lpt of ppl came with us…jiu mu, mei cheng jie jie etc…yups…now Malaysia really nothing much to shop for clothes…not very nice…we go there for…FOOD!!!yes, the bread there are nice and cheap!!!bought a lot back Singapore…can last us for the entire week:p

Whats interesting is that we literally walked to JB…yes..walk…there was traffic jam in the morning and the 950 bus driver dropped passengers going to JB somewhere in woodlands and we walked all the way to the woodlands checkpoint…the walk was not that far…so still ok…the most tiring one is the walk to JB from the check point!!cuz, we realized that the bus will take a very lomg time tp come and we did not purchase other bus tickets to travel..so we WALKED…all the way to JB check point!!!!it was very far…and one can take in all the engine exhaust while walking…hiaz…killed many brain cells….anyway…we had a heavy lunch at city square hong kong café and w headed to holiday plaza…I went there to make a pair of new specs…this time round, I go for frameless!!!initially wanted half frame but the designs there were limited…yar…mummy bought a new watch for me…very unique…wah…I applaud mumy they all for there bargaining skills…I definitely cannot match up to their level…will try to be there>.<

Ok..this week will be the week for me to rest a bit..catch my breath after studying for the past 3 weeks…I PASSED GP!!!manage to get a C!!!I am one grade up now^^this time round, the markers write comments if we do well in various parts^^Mr Bell marked my essay, got 28 and 5 good, 1 very good. As for paper two, I got 1 nice for summary^^overall, I am glad I got this grade.., will work harder to get B for prelim…

Hehe, went to J8 to watch movie with my sister…I wanted to have some subway cookie while watching the movie de…but the subway queue was incredibly LONG!!!!So, I am like…,ok…nvm…,next time then eat ba…

Then while walking in the mall, 3 RJ/RI boys approach us, want to ask us a few qns abt sports…lol…I think they are RJ JC1 guys ba…they look like they are doing PW…

Today can be considered 11 day again…hiaz…at comics connection, so coincidental that the volumes that shi min and I bought were both volume 11…the 11 curse…

Anyway.., the show was very nice^^like it very much…hiaz…the bus ride home really pissed me off…by the time the show ended and we head home, the bus was very packed as it was peak hour at that time…then there was this aunty…I don’t know wats so nice and amazing abt wan bao…she was reading the newspaper as she was standing since there were no seats available…then she seriously lack social conscience…when reading right, she take up so much space and the way she flip the papers right, action was so big lar..the newspaper hit ppl also don’t say sorry…ok, fine, since you are so full of yourself to say sorry to others, but at least have the initiative to make your actions smaller mah…it don’t feel good when newspaper brush onto other ppl can…cant stand this kind of idiotic ppl...hiaz…

Hi there!!!woot, I love wed!!!end at 12.45 and don’t have cca!!!!wah!!!can go home super early…

Today, I went for my sunday class dinner…really thank God for the opportunity to bring my class together for the meal. We went to an Egyptian restaurant at haji lane…we met up at bugis then walked there together…it was also meant to be a farewell dinner for Rachel…I personally find it difficult to get to the restaurant…must be very good in direction to get there…moreover, need to walk past dark and quiet lanes to get there..and have to walk by a pub as well…yup, so most likely, I will not bring ppl there bah…

Hello!!!Berlinda has revived!!!whew…mid years are finally over…, able to take a short break for now…

Overall, I think that maths should be fine…I think…chem. And bio really give me mixed feelings…cant judge whether I can do well a not…hiaz…will be so dead if I don’t pass and do well for chem….mr kuek will kill me…yikes!!history? All of us expect mr loh to pms on the first day of tutorial…haha…

hey there! The following post is suppose to be last sunday post. Mummy and shi min are back!!!!they bought a lot of things for me^^ one huge pile of clothes...muahahaha:p Dont have to be there and yet can get all the things that i wan! Best part is- I DONT HAVE TO PAY!!!!WaHAHAHA!!!will post pictures next time round^^slept at 3am ytd...not study hor..whoever can last until so long at night is MAD ok...i arrived at airport T2 at around 6-7 like that then studied there all the way until 12.02 am...mummy's plane already landed so just nice^^so thrilled to try all those clothes! i was all alone at home this few days...dad, mum, sm all overseas...and i led a typical auntie lifestyle...

Morning:

1)Wake Up, brush teeth, wash face
2) Turn on radio listen to FM93.3, boil water, make breakfast and coffee
3)Make the bed

Afternoon(still listening to FM 93.3):

1)Vacuum the floor
2)Mop the floor
3)Have lunch while watching noon news and progammes
4)wash clothes
5)rest while listening to radio and reading i weekly and u zhou kan
6)Fold clothes that are dried overnight.

Evening(around 5-6 plus..,radio still on...)
1)Make dinner
2)Clean the kitchen
3)bath
4)have dinner while watching tv
5)wash dishes
6)take out clothes from washing machine
7)put clothes on bamboo stick and let them dry.
8)watch evening news
9)brush teeth
10)sleep

my routine for thurs and fri...of course got study..this is the "young girl who knows how to manage the house" way of life who demostrates her ability to manage the household..wahaha...

today suppose to go kai kai with joee..but she fell sick...>.
i am getting better le..the running nose is gone and throat feels better now..recharged!!^^

Quite long never blog le…now and then have to come and update…

For the last week of May, I really did not do much of revision..sign…this week mugging…have to complete the orange ten year series asap…Mummy and Shi Min just left this morning for Thailand…miss the buzz at home a little…sign spent abt 10 mins thinking what to have for dinner ytd night..one person meal really difficult to plan sometimes…

Went for hair trimming…the stupid hair dresser…cut my fringe until so short..told him to cut until eyebrow, he went ahead to cut above eyebrow…sobs..look like monkey head now…

Ah…I fell sick le…down with very serious running nose and sore throat…had to cancel Mr Kuek’s tuition…nose blow and dizziness getting me down…wisdom tooth coming out…poking my gum…very painful…

Hui qun did her chi paper today…she sae quite difficult, more challenging than last year’s paper…u hav worked hard gurl, I am sure ur hardwork had paid off…

Today sat down to do schedule..then spent a lot of time packing my room, no, part of my room…my study table still very messy..been studying outside the room all this while…most likely tmr will pack the pile of worksheets…

Kaez.., went for HC harmock concert…I saw him (if I am not wrong…).., heart did race a little, really glad to see him again..^^ He not much change, still look the same…haha..smsed to mel and she told me to go sae hi..but I shy larhz…so I sae see if we are fated to sae hi when we happen to notice one another…apparently it did not happen..hiaz.., nvm..i found him can le…got used to watching him without him noticing…

The trip considered fruitful ba…other than seeing him there..,the concert was very nice…i now noe that harmock brand makes A LOT of difference…their notes sound very smooth and lively…I prefer the combine pieces rather than the xiao zhu wan…some xiao zhu pieces not very nice…

Travel there was a disaster..i have to check the satellite map online and the transit bus directory..hiaz…took mrt to Little India and change to bus…wanna take the same route home then realize I have a straight bus home!!and the trip, I think, about 30 minutes only…dots and yawns…

LOL…ok, been quite tiring and really need to brace myself for revision le..byeJ

Well, been quite eventful BUT guilty at the same time…not much of thorough revision done..yikes…

AJ choir rocks!!!!yup yup, went to their concert on Shi Min’s b dae, it was superb!!!The day went ok but was quite pissed over lunch…, don’t remind me of it…argh..Ate a lot of things in that day…met up with xp’s younger bro and Vivian for donuts dinner and bought xp’s donuts- mango and honey-coated^^ glad she liked it!

Following that was GP paper on thurs.., wonder if I have done enough prep a not, feels little to me though…well I did the food crisis qn for essay and as for paper 2, hoho..,only 9 qns when the usual are ard 10-11…one passage on innovation and technology..,it SEEMS like a manageable passage BUT the qn are NOT that easy after all.., I will die for the summary de and the AQ qn got so many requirement then only give us two sides to write on..,not enough de…I write all the way until,”END OF PAPER” there…>.

Ok, then I juz had bbq at sher’s house ytd, wow, the things that we prepare is not a lot but all of us like bloated after that lah…it was fun though^^

Today went to JB…quite disappointed, not much things to buy…only bought food and a checkered blouse…now the fashion in JB very different from SG…Back here, u see BF shirts, tunics, light-coloured checkered shirt around…,then JB is more of the street-wear, Lolita, gothic kind…so, did not buy much..fear not.., cuz mummy is going THAILAND!!!YAY!!!new clothes!!!^^

Watched the Sichuan show just now…feeling emo..,mummy also very emo especially when she knew about the China mother’s sms to her child…so sad…Dear God, please watch over them..

kaez.., today woke up super early(yup, considered early cuz its a weekend) at 6 plus(couldn't recall:p) to study with hui qun at mac..WHY? becuz she have to go to school in the afternoon for college day wor...yup, so we push our weekly study timing to morning..find it a bit funny leh, why is it that college day is in the afternoon, i thought usually is in the morning de..hiaz, anyway i had this for breakfast...it is quite nice, taste like the bai se lian ren in Hokkaido, bought it after tuition ytd...

LOL.., guess wat, my family love dewberry so much that we have three packets, each packet have 12 small packets...so it is like alot..,stack them together look like wat u see in point x, having all the biskit nicely placed and u can take it to purchase it...can visualize??haha...okie, wat happen was that mummy and shi min went to sheng siong to buy some stuff for breakfast tmr...then they saw dewberry and is very cheap!!!$3.30 per packet!!!so they bought it lorhz...then wanted to call and tell me not to buy de...,but i forgot to switch the phone one after charging, so right i went to buy another one..so now there is a total of three packets at home..lol..the one that i bought also more expensive...$3.90...it is $0.60 more...(auntiness, pai seh pai seh:p)

Many times i question myself...is the world coming to an end??We are facing a food crisis, natural disasters every where...hiaz..2008 is indeed not a very prosperous year...

Ok, my first mid year paper-GP, will be next thurs and i feel very guilty for updating my blog now when this is the supposed "MIA" period...well, i kanna the 11 curse, maths CT1-11, CT2-11.5...chem CT2-11.5, my class-11/07, other minor MCQ practice-11...Last time i rmb hui qun got the 3 curse, 3rd for alot of tests when we were in sec 3 or 4...

Shi Min's b dae is this sunday and we will be celebrating it...so, most likely not ale to make it for church..i gave her a lot of presents this yr larhz, black head remover, treat to j.co donuts, AJ choir concert, hp pouch...my gosh, i am such a good sister man...(hint:my dear sis, pls noe wat to do next year on the 31st of Jan kaez?)

hi, all...lots to update abt..i try to summarise...GP mid year coming, 22 MAY!!!!!

The most important thing...HARMOCK CONCERT IS O-V-E-R!!!! we rock the show!!!!WOOT!!! hiaz...worst cooperation EVER...rehearsals never turn out smoothly..,always late fer meetings, LAST MINUTE CHANGES IN SKIT, i juz don't like them, only a minority is ok...hiaz....jia you jc1 fer SYF!!!do better then them!!!

Yup, so my cca have finally come to an end...and today is the beginning of a much shorter timetable...

NAPFA re-test this year is super eventful...i almost did not pass my re-test...How the school works is that all students must gt silver and above...if not june hols have to be back in school fer training and cannot be exempted from afternoon pe...then right, all the time i can only jump 15o cm plus plus...at most 160 cm..i thought i confirm fail wan. The price is definitely more expensive than Batam...but is still very nice...strongly recommend:mango, honey-coated,cappaucino,mocha,chocolate,almond,oreo,banana chocolate....many more...drools....this is the box when mummy bought back from Batam the last time...

Ytd, Shi Min and i went to compass point and there was a japan fair by cold storage...This is super nice...is actually chocolate cake...really soft and it is $4.80...really nice...

ok...so wat's going on in my life right now??

Academic wise...i achieve A with distinction for A level CHinese!! Really glad and relieved that all my hard work hav paid off and drawn a nice ending to my hua wen shen ya^^ For now..., i hope that my PW will also do as well^^

Entertainment!! i watched L with joee and sis...it was great!! All abt bioterror-GP(dots..) i luv L...he is super handsome!!! i really like his style and personality...drools...

Classmates and frens...caught u with joee over the holidays, she will be working over the holidays-selling lap top insurance in polys...gempatei!!!Xiao ping and youying left Singapore for Italy le...all the best for the competition!!do the school proud!!! Hi all…I am sorry for lost in updates..i intend to let the first post of 2008 to be on my b dae…but on that dae I am supposed to study for my Biology SPA Skill A!!!so sad right…celebrate my b dae like that

I have the most exotic b dae this year…xp actually bought me plain flour for present…and I had the smallest cake in my life..PALM-SIZE cake!!haha, Nicole sae it was miscommunication btwn herself and her mother…lol

Todae I juz went through my mock rally for Liberal Democracy…so fun..,in the end communism won the election…haha… I am able to manage my time better now, able to complete hwk in advance now…but vectors 2 is super long…cannot complete over last sat and sun…sobs…YAY…no GP hwk over the holidays, it is very kind of Miss koh for showing mercy…her hwk is A LOT…but manage to clear all of hem^^

I was chosen as the female lead for concert this year…ahhh…so embarrassing...and I am going to miss a lot of songs…sobs…Also, I will be playing quintet along with le jun, yongyuan, shermaine and Claire^^went through a practice todae, at least we sound quite ok…a small progress made…

Met joee today for dinner at yosh!!very long time nv eat le…and she passed the present to me…so sweet, thanks gurl and all the best for your exams after CNY!!!(P.S really sorry for the mistake made in the b dae card)Gossip a lot abt the INCONSIDERATE ppl we met, ex YYSS stuff and the usual:p We also went to buy cheap inside^^haha…poka dot de, very nice and cheap!!!

Hey minna!!! Juz came back from China ytd, at 2 am in the morning…yawns..very tired…slept till 2 pm…right now my fingers and toes are a bit swollen…probably due to 水肿… I have written only two days of “blog” in china..as for the rest, I am too tired to write a complete one…so I juz summarise…

Day 1- 8/11/07

Yay!!!China here I come^^ We are at T2 at ard 1 plus and met up with the other family that is going with us. I went to the doctor early in the morning cuz eyes sore until very bad…doctor sae that I should not wear contacts for at least 2 weeks!!YIKES!!><>

Anyway, the food here is spicy, salty and OILY!!!spicy is great but too salty and oil is free here…When the egg came, I took one small bite…it taste nice, fragrant but the oil juz gush out…I took a tissue and squeeze gentlely , woohoo transparent…The food here is too mch and fish too many bones…tmr we will be heading to 九寨沟 le…it will be a 11 hours bus journey…sign..zz..bye.

Day 2-9/12/07

Hi all!! 2^nd day in china^^

Todae’s schedule was mainly traveling we have to drive from city(chengdu) to mountains(jiu zhai gou)

The journey was like 11 hours?!that is super long…Shi min and some other relatives felt sick throughout the bus journey. There isn’t much things to do since almost the entire day was on traveling. The same thing that caught everyone’s attention was the toilets..even the tour gguide, xiao yao sae that he agrees with the fact that toilets are smelly. There was only 2 toilets that were rather clean, I have tried using one where there was no flushing system or any. It was juz a drain and you do your business..eww…yes, but no choice…if not may lead to kidney failure..hahas…

Upon arrival at jiu zhai gou, I was astonished…we will be staying over at INTERCONTINENTAL!!! I took a lot of pics and videos cuz it is really great. Thumbs up^^the food here is superb, I mean definitely there are imperfections but overall,words caught me…The staff here are also super 亲切, great customer service. Right now I am feeling 鸡皮疙瘩. It is cold here and I think due to pressure, I feel pain here and there.. but I am okie de. Tmr will be going for sightseeing, ta no shi mi><

Hey ppl!! Many events occurred over these few days..but too tired to blog, and never touch the com…mugging in progress…

Yup, many may think is NO LIFE…can’t help it.., the first two weeks of holidays was literally wasted…and there is so much work to be done.

Next month, I will be going on holiday and I have no time for homework if I don’t complete it asap. Putting aside revision, I am concentrating on hwk now, but at some point of time will definitely go out walk walk..but cannot overdo it..will be tempted to buy clothes and stuff…must bear with it..cuz going Thailand^^hehe..

This week was SL week, been working on class and harmock SL projects…Class SL is as usual every Monday from 1 to 4 pm. The things that we do there is getting into place le, we will usually help to walk the elderlys and help them in physiotherapy, following that will help older patients to sit up which will be around 3 patients and finally go into the activity room to help them on walking etc. Class SL was ok but the real nightmare was harmock SL.

For harmock SL, we are supposed to teach children from primary 1 to 5 how to blow the harmonica and prepare them for the Christmas concert at VCH!!! This is a challenging part in my opinion…They are so NAUGHTY!!! Far off from what I expected…

The group I am in charge of have a total of 7 kids. At first I was glad that my group has a P4 student, thinking that he could behave more like “mature?!” and more manageable than the rest… but.., hiaz..to my disappointment…I might as well say that I have a whole group of P1 students…They don’t listen to instructions and what Thomas say was correct, we definitely have to be stern with the kids to make it clear that “we have the authority” something like that…that was Wednesday and I almost died on my way home…

It was Hui Qun’s birthday that day and she asked me if I would like to join her for dinner after SL, but I seriously cannot make it there..the kids literally suck out all my energy..i skipped lunch that day and I was so hungry on the way home…Before going home, I went to PS to check my phone whether it needs servicing..Basement 2 of PS is so tempting…food, food and more food… I told myself to control and wait till I get home I will be able to feast…I wanted to buy but seriously no money at that time…sign almost 路死街头…

I had my baking and cooking day on Thursday^^ at least this is something to be happy about…My mother comment that I am a bit out of my mind sometimes…when I feel like it, I will either bake a lot or only one… The other time I baked 4 cakes at a go right? This time round I baked 12 muffins, one chiffon cake and pancakes!!

I am on shopping spree over these few days...my gosh...i spent A LOT of money..sobs...

The best shopping places in Singapore i must say is far East and bugis.

I bought skinnies at bugis for $25 each!! i bought two in total, to apple- you juz continue to walk around bugis street you will be able to find it le...wat nicholas say was right, really got $20++ de..then, bought a pair of BOOTS and pumps. The boots is considered quite cheap already $35..very nice
Yup, so that will be worn in China and Spore, if i have the chance...

Today watched D.gray man ep 57 on tudou!!! They change uniform...very cool...surprised by marinda's power, never knew it will be used in that way...haha...

I got a lot of 38...joee...wan to share with you...see if got chance call her and tell her all about it^^

Hello minna-san!!!

Today was an eventful day....Approximately half the class went for SL project, which is a visit to ling kwang home.

I was at the serangoon garden circus first and i check the bus board...came to realise that the other time i did not take the wrong bus or wrong direction! It states under bus service 136 that the bus actually service in two direction, to amk and punggol interchange. So, the last time i took the one going towards amk and not punggol...ahhh...did not check the bus service plate the last time...luckily i did not make the same mistake as last time..haha..yay!

I wonder if we were of help to the volunteers there...first, i was assigned to help a few elderlys walk a short distance and help them put on the foot paddles to "cycle". Following that, xp and i went into the rehab room and we helped to push the wheelchair of some elderlys to their respective "stations" to train the hands so as to gain strength.

Thereafter, a few of us went to help the volunteers to sit up the older patients. They are the ones whereby they could neither get off the bed easily nor roll over the beds. So, our job is to help them sit up for 15 minutes. It was seriously not easy as they may lean forward or backward and our arms will have to be stationary for 15 minutes. Our muscles really ache a little after helping 3 elderlys to sit up.

Lastly, we went to the hall and help to conduct a few activities...Like, play ball, walk, pulleys, paddle etc. Shermaine and thomas was playing the piano at some point of time and one elderly also played a piece, it was really nice^^

Yup, so that is all for today and i will have to start holiday hwk now if not notime le!!! matta ne!!!

Hi all!!! been a long time since i blogged...

I have been through a lot over the month of October...tears...tears...sobs...sobs...hiaz...but it is time to move forward...found a blogskin that suits my mood...and i like the "i am a big gurl now, no more tears.." it is really nice and positive^^

Chinese paper...all i can say is that i have tried my best...i really have no intention to re-do the paper again in 2008...so i really hope that the results will turn out fine..honestly speaking, i am really scared of the paper....in terms of preparation wise, i think i did EXTREMELY minimal...therefore, i feel very uneasy and insecure. It is like i did not put in much effort and hard work into the paper lehz...in the end i managed to ask for 4 more sets of other college papers from my chinese teacher...The best part of everything is that she did not include model answers for me...sign...

I am glad that PW is over!!!my OP date was scheduled to be on the 30th, which is after chinese...sign...our grp was lucky as there was no moderator present...so its still ok...my main concern was youying's group..given the fact that there was somebody in that grp and MOE ppl present...hiaz...i have watched them present for a few time and i seriously hope that he did not bring the whole group down...May God bless youying, lippy and Joy...

Today i went to NYP for lunch with Joee!!! Haha.., walking in to NYP was never so shiok before...seriously speaking, wearing casual and AJ uniform into NYP really make a difference...when i was in college uni, i always get unwanted attention and stares...imagine, a group of NYP students are walking out of school, and when AJ student walk by, immediately all eyes will be on you le...then today, i walk into NYP feeling so shiok!!!haha, joee also said i blend in very well..^^ After lunch, Joee brought me ard the school to walk walk...since she has ample break time..along the way we saw ivy, Nicholas and melisa...joee also gave me a few tips on how to 变装 if i wan to meet her for lunch after school...she told me never wear fbt short with my sport shoes...noticeable as a JC student...she say wearing simple, casual tee, fbt shorts and slippers will do...thakx for tip^^

Wah...long post...oh, and one more thing, i rebonded my hair!!!

Yoz ppl!!!

ahhh...i very long time didn't eat fast food le...i miss them so much. KFC, BK, Long John Silver...drools...

Especially KFC...i am thinking of Quesadilla most of the time...my gosh..the last tie i ate KFC was probably the time i collected O level cert wif joee...thereafter nv got the chance le..haha, was talking about it with hui qun while walking to East coast park ytd.

Ytd, our class went to east coast park to build sand castle. The whole experience is really great, but the sun was blazing, ALL of us got tann...my legs like charcoal legs larhz...sign...

Haha, then i broke my record!!!i made 4 cakes in a row ytd too!!!2 chiffon and 2 sponge...i made banana chiffon for the first time and guma comment that it is really not bad for first-timer..hehe, very happy^^Then, my sponge cakes were great success!!!Yay!! i will try some more sweeties b4 i go into main course like pasta etc...learning here and there from mummy though.

Yup, so ytd was a VERY LONG day for me...i was surprosed that i could actually make 4 cakes...nv expect myself to have the energy after a long and tiring morning at east coast park...

Today, i prayed realy hard for grandma...she went for her operation and i really thank God that it was very successful. I heard from guma that she bleed very little so the amount of blood lost is minimise, then decrease the chance of anaemia or something like that...really thank God for His blessings.

Tuesday will be the day, i better brace myself for the day.

i was super tired ytd so i did not update. Yup, went with the old folks' for a day's trip...i was surprised that i really did enjoy myself, the feeling i had was unlike past experience. Also, we have free "lunch" or should i say high tea at yumcha in chinatown...wah...throughout the entire trip i don't there to look at Mr phang. I scared he will say," Berlinda, what happen to you arh?" This imply that i fail my maths alr. So, i totally avoided eye contact with him...hiaz...hen can...

The saddest thin is the trip home. I thought for once i can finally reach home earlier than the rest given that the old folks' home is in serangoon. But i TOOK THE WRONG BUS!!!!AHHHHHHHH!!!!my gosh, then i travel all the way home from AMK...hiaz...

ok, i dun wan to sae anything about being stressed and tired...if not no creativity..everyy post also write the same thing...anyway...i changed my phone!!!it is still samsung but with better functions....i have to go with slide phone because i think the next few phones from samsung will still be slide..., no clamshell...hiaz...

This phone looks like ultra series becuz it is really shiny...sapphire blue...but not like ultra series that slim...

There is a lot of things to study for promos...this time round...history paper is finally not the last paper...it is geography...but the time arrangement is super sucky...GP and Bio, Maths and History, Chem and Chinese...hiaz...i only need to come for three days for the exam...but everything is so pack!!!i reaaly worried that i dun have enough brain power to sustain such long hours of papers...i may collapse after the all the papes and diagnosed of brain dead...haha...

today is going to be an extremely long day so that is why i am posting in the morning at 5 am.

today have Touch concert rehearsal....then is like start at 5.35 till 9.00pm!!! how...i end class at 3 .45 leh...don't know whether i should make a trip home or stay in school and mug...

let me elaborate further on point 22 of my previous post- don't anyhow show u got talents, u will get urself tied-down to serious business unless u managed to get a narrow escape!

what happened was during PE on tuesday..our class chose volleyball for that session. Then, usually people will start to play with ball sometimes right? like anyhow it and anyhow set...that was exactly wat i did along with some chen chen and Li xuan...then the vball teacher in charge ask me whether i learn b4...i so stupid still tell him honestly that i was in that cca b4...then, i didn't vball in my school now seems to be quite desperate for players...then he kept persuadig me to join...vivian was there and witnessed the whole session...hiaz...but i still decline..i hav experienced vball alr and i think it is the sufficient exposure to the sport...and i still wan to be in harmock!

been trying to master marching season...so nice! shermaine and sin hang so pro...they play the fast part super well...will continue to practice... i will master the fast part!!

ok...don't worry, i am fine...not very emotional over the past few days...i am just feeling very tired because i have to clear homework and revise at the same time...i is tough but time is really little...

my thoughts about jc:
(1) PW sucks
(2) must have confident in ur ans when u are doing examinations...never doubt ur ans
(3) ur first intinct is more accurate than ur second instinct
(4) juz study everything for test, with facts will definitely pass(content-based subjects)
(5) must know how to take a U turn
(5) cry ur hearts out whenu want to, don't hold back!
(6) buy newspapers regularly
(7) blog became a habit
(8) checking school-based website became a routine
(9) bringing food to school
(10) paying to class fund for lecture notes
(11) library and tables in college are always fully utilised

Hi all...been like one week since i posted...this week was an extremely busy week.

There is a lot of tests lined up this week... so here goes...

Monday: WR day...

mr Phang return us WR today...as expected..full of red marks. We sat down together and he go through it with us...i recorded all the things he have said in my handphone so that we can recall what he have said when we re-do the whole WR...Then i went home to cheong my bio and chem SPA...I finished memorising all the skill D part...so left calculations to revise..
As for Bio, Bacteria is as sucky as ever and virus was no bad...
Since the start of term 3, i have been sleeping veryearly like 10 plus and waking up super early in the morning to finish whatever school stuff that is left undone...I can actually remain more awake and alert in this way as compared to term 2...i never dozed off at any point of time except cca...lol..yup, i can sleep during practices..haha..so professional that i can sleep while blowing harmock rite?

Tuesday: Silent sobs and shock

the shock was that bio test is postpone to wed and i didn't know...i shouted so loudly during lecture when i came to realisation...hiaz...should have spent more time on chem..
i was so distraught when i come to know my calculations was wrong...i got the correct value at first but i thought the value was far to big...so i have the value which was a wrong step to do...then i got the whole thing wrong again...i already did extremely bad calculations for two SPAs already...i really don't know how to score for my A level...this 20 percent is like gone with the wind..that night i cried silently...at time point of time i really thought of dying...like thinking of jumping off the building..,attempting to fall down the stairs then get my head knocked against the wall to bleed profusely and die like that..because i seriously felt that if i continue to be performing like that, i will definitely retain...then i really dun feel like living already...i prayed for strength...

wednesday: Bio test

Bio test was ok...the things i have studied did came out...so it was ok...

Thurday: maths test and slow mind processing

i was rather persistent that this test i must get a pass and a good pass because i thought my concept of the three topics was rather well grasped...then when i sat for the paper, i know what the question wants me to do..but i'm just stuck there and i cannot proceed...yup..so this test is definitely a fail...
Then, at the end of the day, i had maths remedial and we are all so tired and drained...as for me, i have slow mind processing..,brain seem to have reached the limit...i wanted to ask vivian about application of integration tutorial, i say application of differentiation...hiaz..then have dinner with hui qun..saw miss loh at pastamania...

Friday: super cold...polar hands?!..free fireworks show!

it was raining heavily that day and my hands are sooo cold..even at tuition center also very cold...the tuition center is in bugis so we can see the fireworks...yay! i get to see fireworks again and this time in a more comfortable environment..this year one is quite nice...i like the heart-shape firework...

As for today.., another polar hands day...i also have polar legs...i was at JE library doing pw...then library itself already very cold, in addition to that, it was raining super heavily..i was so cld that my fingers turned purple and i could not write properly...having my jacket does not seem to help...
